Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 10, 2026
Faith In The Fields ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website and application at faithinthefields.com (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account or use our Service:
- Account Information: Email address, first and last name, and password (encrypted) when you register.
- Profile Information: Optional details you may provide such as spouse name, birthday, and anniversary date.
- Prayer Requests: Content you submit through the Prayer Journal feature, including prayers you choose to share with the community.
- User-Generated Content: Verse notes, highlights, saved verses, and journal entries you create within the app.
- Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status, plan type, and transaction reference from Stripe.
- Usage Data: Reading history, streak data, achievement progress, quiz scores, and feature usage to personalize your experience.
- Questions Submitted: If you submit a question through the Common Questions feature, we collect the question text and your user ID.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Personalize your experience (e.g., greeting you by name, tracking your reading streak, showing your reading history)
- Process your subscription payments through Stripe
- Send you daily verse emails if you opt in to this feature
- Send you account-related communications (password resets, subscription confirmations)
- Generate AI-powered Bible study content (verse explanations, stories, study materials) tailored to your requests
- Display community prayer requests (only those you explicitly choose to share)
- Monitor and improve the quality and accuracy of our AI-generated content
3. AI-Generated Content
Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate Bible study content including verse explanations, biblical stories, figure biographies, sermon outlines, deep study analyses, and daily devotionals. When you request AI-generated content:
- Your request (such as a verse reference or topic) is sent to our AI processing service to generate the content.
- Generated content is cached in our database so it can be served instantly to all users who request the same content in the future, reducing processing time and cost.
- Verse explanations are cached globally — they are not personalized or tied to your individual account.
- We do not use your personal information, prayer requests, or journal entries to train AI models.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with enterprise-grade security. We implement the following protections:
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are hashed and salted — we cannot see your password
- Database access is restricted through Row Level Security policies, ensuring users can only access their own personal data
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Stripe: Your email and subscription information is shared with Stripe to process payments.
- Community Features: If you choose to share a prayer request with the community, other users will see the prayer text. Your email address is not displayed to other users.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental request.
We do not display advertising in our Service, and we do not share your data with advertisers or ad networks.
6. Email Communications
We may send you the following types of emails:
- Account emails: Welcome emails, password reset requests, and subscription confirmations. These are necessary for the Service to function.
- Daily Verse emails: A daily verse and reflection sent to your inbox. You must opt in to receive these, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or through your profile settings.
We will never send you unsolicited marketing emails or share your email with third-party marketers.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Our Service uses browser cookies and local storage for authentication purposes — specifically to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We do not use any third-party tracking services.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that information.
9. Your Rights

If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as payment transaction records, which Stripe retains per their own policies).
